The promising tourism potential of Lake Muhazi and the bid to unlock it

The lake is part of a network of connected rivers and lakes that dot several different countries.

Lake Muhazi drains into the River Nyabugogo, which flows southwards to Kigali where it joins the River Nyabarongo. The latter is a tributary of River Nile, which snakes through different countries before it empties into the Mediterranean Sea.

Rwanda, Swedish private sectors sign cooperation deal

A Memorandum of Understanding, signed by Rwanda’s Private Sector Federation (PSF) and Swedish East African Chamber of Commerce (SWEACC), is intended to boost investment and promote trade.

According to the agreement, both parties will assist their members in establishing and strengthening business contacts through meetings and study tours with the objective of promoting the growth of trade. Read more
