Welcome to the EAC Business & Investment Forum 2020

The East African Community Business & Investment Forum (EAC-BIF) is a key annual business event with the aim of promoting business flow, trade, and investments between Sweden and East Africa. The EAC-BIF is organized by Embassies from the East African Community (EAC) accredited to the Kingdom of Sweden in partnership with the Swedish-East Africa Chamber of Commerce (SWEACC) and others.

The 2020 forum is taking place at the Serena Hotel, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania under the heading “Green Solutions in Cities”, with the following focus areas:-

    • Waste to Energy

    • Water and Sanitation

    • Green Transport

University of Rwanda-Newly admitted PhD students and post-doctoral researchers in Sweden urged to uphold the culture of innovation and creativity

A section of PhD nominees who will soon undertake studies in Sweden

41 doctoral students and 26 post-doctoral researchers who will soon be enrolled in 14 Swedish Universities were taken through an induction exercise aiming at explaining to them expectations out of their studies in Sweden. This was organized by UR Sweden Programme in collaboration with International Science Programme (ISP) within the existing research cooperation between Rwanda and Sweden. This is the 4th phase of the cooperation which aims to boost UR capacity building in research and deliver on Rwanda National Development Agenda.
